The word SEO is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization. The most important benefit of SEO is that it helps your business achieve an online presence by ranking higher in the Search Engine Result Page, or what we call SERP thus drawing more visitors to your website.
You do not want to create a website and let it sit unnoticed. The possibility of drawing lots of visitors is high when effective SEO puts your website in the top 10 or 20 web results of popular search engines. When people look for the information they need, they will choose more likely from the list being shown on the first page of results. If the rank of your website is high, it will be much easier to find translating into increased traffic.
If you are using your website to promote a product or services, SEO can help you generate more sales by improving your site’s ability to sell. For example, if your website promotes wellness products, one sure way toward SEO is to write articles that talk about topics like exercise, healthy foods, managing stress, etc. that can be threaded to the wellness products you are selling. The objective of functional SEO is not only to promote your pitch, but also offer useful information so that potential customers will keep on coming back.
SEO is cost effective too. You may advertise your business with Google, which charge per click. There are also pay-per-click plans that are known to some. However, most often than not, website owners do not gain profit that much and in some cases, lose out. With SEO, you get an affordable technique with long lasting results – guaranteed!
If you are thinking of redesigning your website, or intending to launch a new one, then now is the best time to hire an SEO. You and your SEO can make sure that your website is made to be “search engine friendly”.

The 2010 election in the Philippines was a success if we are going to talk about the integrity of the whole electoral process. The automation helped a lot in bringing back the trust of the majority of the Filipinos in COMELEC (Commission on Election).
Although some violence related incidents were still there, I could say that the 2010 election in the Philippines in general proved to be the cleanest among the elections I witnessed in my entire life. As technology advances, so did the way we do the recent election. COMELEC employed the power and convenience that automation promised to deliver to the electoral process.
The line up of the presidential aspirants was very exciting - a former president, a son of the former president, several senators, a secretary of national defense, a church leader, and at least two newbies in the arena.
Each one of them tried to best out each other from campaign sorties to commercial advertisements in print and in media. Filipinos heard different jingles each with stories to tell. Several of them did boast of being poor during their childhood days as if it is one of the requirements of becoming a good president. They gave Filipinos a good entertainment!
It only took me 3 minutes to complete my voting and I spent the rest of May 10, 2010 at home watching the news on TV and waited for the names of the winners to be announced.
Although my bet did not win, I am still happy knowing that in this 2010 election in the Philippines, I was a part of it.

Another motivational Business Opportunity Meeting and Recognition Day of Reliv Phils. was held on April 17, 2010 at the Bahia room of Hotel Intercon in Makati. With me were Mac, Becca, and Abigael who are all my office mates.
The event was hosted by two of Reliv’s successful director distributors (I forgot their names) and was attended by distributors from Manila and some came from the nearby provinces. The event started at exactly 2PM and ended at around 4PM. A short video that showed the profile of the company was presented to us before the program proper. It is nice to know that Reliv is still being managed by the same people who founded it some 20 years ago. Talking about stability!
There was also a presentation regarding the fabulous product line of Reliv. In my many years in Network Marketing, I have never seen a company with several patented products under their belt! After the product presentation, people who have experienced great results with the products lined up at the side of the room and one by one, they excitedly shared their testimonies!
After that, came the time to recognize the hard-working distributors of Reliv. The portion exhibited individuals from all walks of life who are now living the good life! And all because they shared the opportunity and the products to their family, friends, colleagues, etc. Some of them are already earning P200,000+ in a month!
It was truly encouraging for the guests during that afternoon including the four of us. Mac even told us, “if they can do it, so can we”.
After the program, my upline, Teddy Seno approached us and introduced us to another upline Dr. John Harold Ong. Unfortunately, Teddy was not able to stay long because he has to be with his child immediately. But that’s okay. It was Dr. Ong who stayed and entertained us.
Dr. Ong was very eager in sharing to us how he and his wife got involved with Reliv and how the products have helped their daughter in her “slow mental” development (I forgot how Dr. Ong coined his daughter’s condition). I saw in Dr. Ong’s eyes his sincerity in what he’s sharing. I told myself, if I were in this guy’s place, I would also be that enthusiastic in sharing Reliv to others.
I can’t wait to attend Reliv’s next BOM and Recognition Day!

Election time is fast approaching. It is going to be held May of this year. This election is very significant to me because this is the first time I am going to vote.
However, before I cast my vote, I would like to express my opinion:
Why do most of those running for presidency talk about how poor they were? I’m not saying that I do not believe their claims but is it going to help them achieve the post? Would people who belong to the working and higher class feel for that kind of campaign spiel?
So what if they were poor before? Would that situation in life make a man a good leader? It’s no guarantee that just because you lived in a shanty means you can bring this country to greater heights!
Why do some of the presidential candidates pay a LOT just for celebrities to campaign for them? I know that will give them the mileage but how sure are they that the public will vote them just because they were endorsed by these stars?
Why don’t these candidates just brag about the things that they have accomplished for the betterment of the country? Why don’t they sing of the platform their party has prepared instead of them letting the singers they paid for sing during campaign rallies?
I would like to make an appeal to all filipinos to please vote wisely. I hope we won’t be blinded by the candidate’s sweet words and promises. We should analyze if the words that is coming from their mouth speaks very well of them and not just a speech prepared by some veteran writer. Are they credible? Didn’t they get involved in graft and corruption? Do they have a platform that will elevate the filipinos’ way of living?
We have a responsibility not only to ourselves but to our children as well. So again, let’s us go out and VOTE WISELY.

Recently, I bought a Nikon D5000 DSLR. Although, it cost me a lot (as in!) but that’s okay. It served as my Christmas gift for myself (LOL). Photography is something that interests me a lot and hopefully to make some money out of it. Before the arrival of my Nikon D5000, I had a Sony Digicam which worked pretty well for me. However, I really wanted to be more serious in photography and I know having a good DSLR is the first thing I need to have.
Meeting friends who are also into photography is one good way to start. Luckily, one of my office mates has a brother who is a very good photographer. My office mate was kind enough to let me meet his brother. We decided to set a date for my very first “photo trip”. There’s a church in Calaruega Batangas which is very famous to locals and tourists alike because of the beautiful sceneries that surround it. My office mate picked that place for my first photo trip destination.
Learning photography isn’t easy. You need to understand how the different settings there work like Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, Exposure Compensation, etc. My bad because prior our photo trip, I did not study the manual of my Nikon D5000. That’s why, I had a hard time coping up with what my mentor had to teach me that day. But the whole thing was fun! I could not explain the feeling whenever I thought I was able to get a good picture! Here are some of them:

As I go deeper into photography, I realize that it is not only a hobby but a good stress buster as well.

Last 31 October 2009, me and my buddy, Mac, went up to La Union and Baguio. It was an unplanned trip. We decided to go at around three o’clock in the afternoon already. Maybe, we just thought of how boring the next couple of days would be so we just decided to take on the trip.
We reached La Union past nine o’clock in the evening. The road to the house we will spend the night at is not the usual smooth, cemented one. The walk was exciting because aside from the fact that it was already dark and we did not have flash lights with us, we also had to walk some mud pathways. It’s a good thing, it was a full moon that night and we were able to manage our way.
While Mac was chatting with his relatives, I took some pictures of just what my digital camera can capture that time.

This is how they cook their food. I don’t know but people in the province say that foods cooked in this kind of stove actually taste better.

Native chickens resting.
Alvin, Mac’s cousin, invited us to play cards before going to bed. However, since I do not know how to play “tong-its”, I wasn’t able to join them. While they were playing, I was watching some horror flicks. After several card game rounds, all of us went to sleep.
One thing nice about the place is that you do not need to use an electric fan or an air conditioner so that you could sleep comfortably. The gentle, cool breeze of the night will surely help you get that very relaxing and deep sleep.
In the morning, we hurriedly visited what used to be corn fields before Ondoy hit the place. We were saddened by the things we saw.

The hanging bridge before Ondoy.

This is all that is left from what used to be a hanging bridge.

This post where Mac and Trix had their picture taken used to be sturdy being concrete.
However, after Ondoy devastated the place, this is all that’s left from this post

Everything that we have is temporary.
26 September 2009 is a day Filipinos will never forget. It is already a history that is inked in our lives. About 150 people have died and nearly 500,000 people have been affected by tropical storm “Ondoy” that caused heavy downpour and massive flooding in Metro Manila particularly in Marikina, Cainta, and Pasig.
I did not give much thought of the typhoon Ondoy when PAGASA forecasted it a few days prior the 26th since they said it will not cause much trouble. Unfortunately, since PAGASA did not have sophisticated technology to accurately forecast a storm, the people were wrongly informed.
And so the 26th of September came. There was already a heavy downpour when I woke up at around 9 in the morning. During that time, I thought it was just one of those “crying days of the heavens”. However, when I realized that only after about 4 hours, flood was already evident on the streets and it is quickly rising, I told myself, this is already something.
I turned on the TV and tuned in to a news channel. I was shocked when the newscaster broadcasted how massive the flood is already and started to show videos and pictures of the areas and people who were greatly affected by the typhoon.
A young girl is carried to safety through floodwaters
Residents help a woman get off the flood
People in Cainta wait for rescue on top of their submerged houses
According to the news, typhoon Ondoy delivered 410 mm of rainfall which is 20 mm higher than the average rainfall in a month.
If there is one thing I realized in this calamity was that we are powerless when we are faced with mother nature. I just hope that people, not only in the Philippines, will start to be more caring of mother earth. After all, this is the only home we’ve got.

I am saddened by the news over Yahoo that one of Hollywood’s finest actors, Patrick Swayze succumbed to cancer at age 57. I happened to watch two of Patrick’s well loved movies - Dirty Dancing (1987) and Ghost (1990s). However, the latter left a mark in my heart. As it was a movie, even though there was no violence or sex shown in it, but was watched and loved by a lot of people all over the world. I even watched it a dozen of times, if I’m not mistaken and I am keeping a DVD copy of it, too.
Ghost was a story of two people, truly in love with each other but in the heart wrenching end part of the movie had to separate ways for Sam (Patrick’s character) died from a gunshot wound when a robber tried to steal his wallet for the robber thought in it is where the code to a bank account is being kept by him.
Ghost also starred the drop-dead gorgeous beauty Demi Moore, who portrayed Patrick’s girlfriend - Molly and the hilarious Whoopi Goldberg, who played the character of Oda Mae Brown.
Sam’s ghost is haunting Oda Mae (a psychic medium) so that it can forewarn Molly of the danger that might befall her unless she stay away from Sam’s assassin, Carl, who happened to be their close friend. However, because of greediness, money took over Carl’s whole being.
For those of you who have not watched the movie “Ghost” yet, I encourage you to get a DVD copy of it and see for yourself what true love can do even beyond this life.

I have been longing to attend a christian Sunday service. It came to fulfillment this afternoon when I, together with two of my office mates attended New Life’s 2PM Sunday service at The Market Market.
We did not plan of attending the service. However, as it is said, God works in His own time. He made way for us to attend. When we reached New Life Christian Center, we were welcomed by the usherettes warmly. They even helped us to our seats.
The service was already starting with the “praise and worship” part when we came in. It was a different experience when you are with a group of people all mightily singing their heart’s content because they know that they are singing for God.
After the praise and worship part, the sermon started. It was delivered by Pastor Jocel Evangelista. The sermon was all about “The Power of Everyday”. Pastor preached that we have to be thankful and excited everyday for each day is a gift from God and that He has already planned the things that is going to come in our way.
I never thought that the praising song “This is The Day That The Lord Hath Made” can mean so much to me during that day when Pastor preached that since Jesus has already defeated tribulations when He died on the cross to save me, we need to rejoice everyday of our lives.
The sermon also included that we have to strive to bless others everyday and that the things that are ordinary to us could already be a miracle for others.
After the service, having what Pastor Jocel in mind, I wanted to be a blessing to my two office mates and so I asked them out for an early dinner after the service. In which by doing so, I know, God will return the blessings to me tenfolds!

On September 9th, i-Elev8 Contact Solutions celebrated the birthday of one of its well loved Managers – Mac Herman.
Everybody had their own share in making Mac’s special day an event to remember.
The HR and Training Departments came up with a wacky idea. They collected video greetings from people from the streets who Mac does not even know. Fats connected with his sister in Canada via Facebook just to get her greet him while I stole his best girl friend’s cellphone number just to be connected to her and ask her to come up with a surprise birthday video greetings for him which we succeeded in doing!
We also collected Mac’s photos and put all of them in a powerpoint presentation with one of his favourite songs – We Are A Family (OST from the movie Dream Girls) as the background music.
While Mac was watching the videos, he got teary-eyed.
After the video and greetings presentations, it’s time for the agents to show what they have prepared. The MT/GT/CEP Teams, led by their Manager, Fats, did a dance number to the tune of different dance music. The night shift agents (US Mortgage, Federated, and CEP Outbound) also showcased skits and dance presentations.
To make the celebration of Mac’s birthday wackier, games were also played and everybody willingly participated – even without prizes!
i-Elev8’s President, Sir Ernie Lee graced the occasion.
